Shanghai Exhibition Center, located in the centre of the city's bustling Nanjing Rd, in the heart of the metropolis, is a period building, once called China-Russia Friendship Building. The building commands a floor space of 93,000 sqm, with 42 multi-functional rooms and more than 100 offices, and a total outdoor area of 15,000 sqm. It has hosted numerous state level meetings welcoming guests from all over the world, signifying its original purpose of building. Today, it is an international exhibition center, home of thousands of events, acting as the window of economics, science, technology, and culture of Shanghai.
